Why does my boyfriend say certain things?

He goes to work and I stay home(I do go to work on Wednesdays). I wait on him hand and foot. Very seldom does he get up to get something that I want or need, I get his drinks, tobacco, food...When we travel I pack for both of us and I usually load and unload by myself. I think he thinks because he provides the money that I should do be there at his beacon call. He has said a few times that he treats me better than any of my ex's, I do not respond with an answer to this, because he doesn't treat me better but I don't know how he would fell if he knew so I just tell him im not going to respond. I have a problem with him looking at pictures of women or in public, but I try to explain that I have never been like that just in the being of the relationship I feel like he commented all the time on other women rather it be pictures or in person and usually about their (Im his gf not one of the guys, so I felt it is to much...now I can't stand it). He will tell me when I say something about the way he acts that it's how he has always been, which I understand but when he sees it hurts me I don't understand why he can't try a littler harder. I love him and feel that he doesn't love me, but I don't really know who he feels about me, but I also feel like im pushing him away in the meantime. Opinions please? P.S. We dated years ago, I felt he didn't show me any attention then and also we only worked then came home and pretty much went to bed so we broke up , then lost contact for years. This time we have been together almost a year.
